How to reach Udupi

You can reach Udupi by air, train or by bus. By air, you can fly to the local airport located in Bajpe, which is about 60 kms away from Udupi. There are 2 flights daily from Mumbai and from Bangalore. Taxis are available at airports and the journey from the airport to Udupi takes about an hour. The Konkan Railway has trains with direct service to Udupi from Mumbai, Delhi, Rajkot and Ahmedabad. You can also get to Udupi by bus. There are nearly 80-90 buses that run daily from Mumbai, (18-20 hours of journey) - via Bhatkal, Ankola, Dharwad and Belgaum. The journey from Bangalore to Udupi is an overnight one and about 50 buses ply on this route.
